Dennis D. McKenney, New Hampshire LPF and Licensed Land Surveyor, is the President of New England Forestry Consultants, Inc. and district manager for the Monadnock region. He is responsible for the southern region of New Hampshire. Dennis has been with our company for over 28 years and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge. He provides the standard forestry services and as a licensed surveyor, performs boundary surveys for both subdivision and conservation easements. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1974 with a B. S. in Forestry. Dennis is a member of the Association of Consulting Foresters of America, NH Timberland Owners Association, S.P.A.C.E. (NH's Current Use Coalition), and the Society of American Foresters.

Fred A. Huntress, Jr., Maine LPF, is our Senior Vice President and Androscoggin Center Manager for New England Forestry Consultants, Inc. Fred is responsible for the southwestern region of Maine on a part-time basis. Prior to his 47 years with our company, Fred practiced forestry for Eastern Pulpwood in Calais and worked summers for the U.S. D.A. in Maine. He continues to provide complete forest management services for our clients. He is an active member of the Society of American Foresters, Association of Consulting Foresters of America, Maine Forest Products Council and Small Woodland Owners Association of Maine, among other organizations. He received a B. S. in Forestry from the University of Maine, Orono in 1955 and is a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor and Real Estate Broker. He is also active in various local civic activities near his home in Poland Spring, ME.

David L. Kent, New Hampshire LPF is a Vice President and the Keene district manager for New England Forestry Consultants, Inc. He is responsible for southwestern New Hampshire, north central Massachusetts and southeastern Vermont regions. During the 25 years David has worked for our company, he has provided complete forest management services to our clients, including timber sales, management plans and timber appraisals. He graduated cum laude in 1978 with an A.A.S. degree in Forest Technology from State University of New York. David is a member of the NH Timberland Owners Association and a Cheshire County Inspecting Forester for the NH Tree Farm Program.

Raymond “Tony” Lamberton is a Vice President and the Manchester district manager for New England Forestry Consultants, Inc. He is responsible for the southern Vermont and eastern New York regions. Tony has been with our company for over ten years and provides our clients with all aspects of land management, from estate management to natural resource planning. Tony is the editor of our company newsletter and has authored a variety of articles. He holds a Master of Forestry and B. S. in Wildlife Management from the University of Maine. Tony is also a member of the Consulting Foresters Association of VT, VT Woodland Owners Association, NY Forest Owners Association and is a NY and VT Tree Farm Program Inspecting Forester. Tony is actively involved in local and civic organizations. He is a Selectman and Moderator for the Town of Middletown Springs. He is also a Trustee at the Middletown Springs Community Church.

Sherman R. Small, LPF is our Treasurer and district manager for New England Forestry Consultants, Inc. He works out of his Bethel, ME office and works closely with Donald Feeney in the western and central Maine regions. His prior experience at P. H. Chadbourne & Co. and Chadbourne Tree Farms included a focus on operating a Geographic Information System (GIS), obtaining data through GPS and other sources. He also was responsible for the supervision of contract logging crews, overseeing cutting operations, and purchasing white pine logs. Sherm is currently monitoring conservation easements on over 762,000 acres of forest land. He graduated " With Distinction " with a B. S. in Forestry at the University of Maine, Orono in 1980.

Peter Farrell, LPF is the Lakes district manager for New England Forestry Consultants, Inc. He is responsible for the central New Hampshire region. Peter has been with the company since 1988 and has played a significant role in the development of our internal forest management tracking software. A 1977 graduate of Duke University with his M. S. in Forestry, he continues to provide his clients with standard forest management services as well as offering his technologically based skills. Peter is a member of the Society of American Foresters, Association of NH Consulting Foresters, County Extension Service Council and NH-DRED-Council Forest Advisory Board.

Donald E. Feeney, Maine LPF is the Oxford Hills district manager for New England Forestry Consultants, Inc. He is responsible for the western and central Maine regions. Don’s family has been involved in Maine forests for four generations. His prior experience as a forester at Chadbourne Tree Farms and P. h. Chadbourne & Co. included the full range of forest management activities from timber harvests to environmental compliance. Before that, Don taught life and earth sciences, including an academic forestry program, at Gould Academy. During his teaching years, Don worked summers as a forestry technician for the U.S. Forest Service in the White Mountain National Forest. Don graduated with a B. A. in Biology from the University of New Hampshire. Don is a member of the Society of American Foresters and the Small Woodland Owners Association of Maine. Don is a tree farm inspector in the American Tree Farm System, an associate Maine Certified Logging Professional, a licensed Maine Wood Scaler, and a registered Master Maine Guide.

Christopher Fox is also in our Monadnock region office and works closely with Dennis McKenney and Daniel Reed in the south central region of New Hampshire. Before coming to NEFCo, Chris worked at Ferrucci and Walicki, LLC in Madison, Connecticut. He implemented timber sales and wrote forest management plans which included forest inventories, mapping and recommendations. His experience varies from watershed lands, utility lands and non-industrial private forests. He graduated in 1998 with a B.S. in Dual Resources Management – Environmental and Forest Biology. Chris is also proficient working with Arc View GIS and Garmin GPS units.

Shaun Lagueux, New Hampshire LPF is the Newfound Lake district manager for New England Forestry Consultants, Inc. He is responsible for the north central New Hampshire region. Before working for our company, Shaun was employed by Forest Resource Consultants in Rumney, NH. He was responsible for timber sale preparation and supervision, map drafting, management plans, boundary identification and maintenance. He is a Tree Farm Inspector, member of the Grafton County Cooperative Extensive Advisory Council and Bristol NH Conservation Commission member. Shaun graduated in 1995 with an A.A.S. in Forest Technology from UNH – Thompson School of Applied Science.

Sean Libbey, LF is the Quabbin district manager for New England Forestry Consultants, Inc. He is responsible for the central Massachusetts and Quabbin Reservoir region. Before coming to NEFCo, Sean worked at Wadsworth Woodlands in Hiram, Maine. He supervised harvest operations and implemented Arcview GIS and GPS-based mapping for the company. Sean was also instrumental in the marketing of the company through the development of a company brochure. He graduated in 2000 with a M. S. in Forest Management from the University of Maine, Orono. He continues to attend professional development workshops to further his forestry education.

John McClain serves on our Board of Directors and is the Green Mountain district manager for New England Forestry Consultants, Inc. He is responsible for the central Vermont region. Before coming to our company, John ran his own forestry business, Forest Resource Associates, for twelve years. He currently manages 40,000 acres of private lands by producing management plans and administering timber sales as well as providing a full range of forestry related services. He is Chair of the VT Current Use Advisory Board, a member of the Consulting Foresters of VT and of the Society of American Foresters. John also is a Tree Farm Inspector and a former Logger Education to Advance Professionalism Program Project Forester. He holds a B. S. degree in Forest Management from the University of Massachusetts.

Donald E. Murphy, Wetland Scientist, is working closely with other Maine NEFCo foresters and is acquiring his Maine Forester License.  He is assisting land owners on Natural Resource Delineation and associated Environmental Permitting, Wildlife Management Plans, and Forest and Land Use Feasibility Studies.  He is active in the current field of natural resource impact compensation, forestry related conservation easements, and mitigation banking programs.  Donald is a graduate of UNH at Durham, NH with a B.S. in Environmental Studies with concentrations in Forestry and Vocational Education. For the last six years, he acquired extensive Environmental Permitting experience in Wetland, Stream, and Vernal Pool Delineation at Main-Land Development Consultants in Livermore Falls, ME.
